NHL League File 2011-12 Season

Post by Kramden23 »

Over the past few days I have put together an NHL league file containing up to date players, coaches and prospects. Below is the information on how it was compiled. I have sent this to Simon and if he approves it then I'm sure he will post it in the download section. Enjoy!

NHL League File For The 2011-2012 Season

- This league file was created between January 16th - January 21st, 2012. All information and rosters were current as of January 21st.

- This is for V1. You will have to migrate to use for V2.

- To create this league I combined two ratings packages. Ratings packages used were...

* - NAIHL (traditional tables) for forwards and defensemen. This package rated all forwards and defensemen who appeared in at least 1 NHL game last season.

* - LCHV-NHLAHL for the goalies. This package rated all goalies who appeared in at least 1 NHL or AHL game last season.

- Players and positions were added using http://www.espn.com/nhl team rosters. Players who did not have ratings were added to prospects.

- I then cross referenced rosters on each teams official site. Players with ratings were added to team, unrated to prospects.

- I then went to http://tsn.ca/nhl/injuries/ and cross referenced any injured players who might not have appeared on active rosters. Players with ratings were added to team, unrated to prospects.

- I then went to each teams official website and referenced the Prospects/In The System links. Players with ratings were added to team, unrated to prospects.

- I then went to HF and cross referenced each teams "Top Prospects". If they weren't already in the team list then they were added. I did not re-check "Other Notables" and below.

- I then went to hockeydb.com and cross referenced all 2011 team draft picks with the team prospect lists. Any not already included were added to their team.

- The remaining players on the Unassigned List were then referenced against both hockeydb.com and TSN player profiles. Players determined to be property of a team were added, others have been marked with their current playing status. All of these players played at least one game in the NHL last season. It is up to you to determine how you would like to handle these Unassigned List players. Legend is below.

- Captains were designated per team websites. If a team did not have a "C", had more than two "A" or only one "A" then they were selected.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

- Ratings package used for coaches was AHSQ. Coaches not included were created using defaults of 50.

- All coaches for both pro and farm teams are current and their ages up to date.

- All arena names and AHL farm team names are up to date.

- No rookies have been marked

- Arena capacities have not been adjusted.

- All players AND coaches do NOT have up to date contract and salary info. That is something you will have to do yourself. I suggest using capgeek.com for up to date player contract/salary info.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

- All information in this league file should be at least 99% up to date and accurate as of January 21st. If anything is incorrect then it is the fault of ESPN, TSN, Hockeydb, Hockeysfuture and the NHL network of team sites for not keeping their information up to date.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Unassigned List Legend:

AHLFA - Free agent playing in the AHL
ECHLFA - Free agent playing in the ECHL
NP - Not playing but not "officially" retired
AUS - Playing in Austria
CZE - Playing in the Czech Republic
DEL - Playing in Germany
FIN - Playing in Finland
ITL - Playing in Italy
KHL - Playing in the KHL
SEL - Playing in Sweden
SWI - Playing in Switzerland

I'm working on the migration of the file and adding some work on it and I’ll release this week.

Simon has now published this for V2 in the download section of the website. To those who sent me a PM, I do not know if he will be publishing for V1 as it did not contain player contract/salary info when I sent it to him.

There have been two transactions since this file creation...

1.
To Chicago: Brendan Morrison
To Calgary: Brian Connelly (P)

2.
To San Jose: Tim Kennedy
To Florida: Sean Sullivan (P)
