I have my entry draft option set to Draft Lottery.

How do I see what the list is of the teams who have 1st round picks?

I did an output but the entry draft option isnt available. How do I get an output of the entry draft.

The last thing I did under the simulate option was: Start Off-Season.

nevermind, I figured it out!

For other users though:

League-->Off-Season-->Entry Draft

Either get a CSV file from the forum here for that draft, or make your own or you can just manually enter the names in your self.

Once you have enough players entered to cover all the picks, you can now output the Entry Draft files.

What exactly happens if I choose "Use new draft rules"?

My league contains 16 teams.
8 teams clinches playoff.

Draft Rules change in the NHL in 2007 if I remember well. The option New Draft Rule tell the simulator to use the new draft rule that are active in the NHL since 2007.

So if I want to use the new Draft rules, how do I set the options in the Sim?

Draft Lottery: ??
Use new draft rules: check
Number of teams in lottery: ??
Maximum Rank gain: ??

The number of team in lottery is 14 in the NHL (If you want 30 teams)
The maximum rank gain is 5 in the NHL.

OK.

So if I get this right, I have to check both "Draft Lottery" and "Use new draft rules" to use the new NHL rules? And in my league there is 8 teams that wont go to the playoffs, so "Number of teams in lottery" should be 8? That, combined with "Maximum Rank Gain" set to 3, should do my draft rules pretty good right?

Just not familiar with a couple of rules in the NHL.
