Prospects--V 0.9.6

Post by panthersrat »

My problem is probably discussed on here somewhere, but I am about cross eyed reading poorly translated French via Babelfish :?

I have imported my rosters from FHL. I created more teams that I have, everything imported properly. I auto activated my prospects. That worked also.

I deleted the extra teams, they had no players.

Now when I go to activate the prospects from the teams prospect list, I get the message that the players cannot be found. I can see the names of the players in the prospect box. I click on the name of the player, click activate, and I get the message that the player cannot be found.

Where are they? And why can't the be *found* and activated?

Because there is no Unassigned Player with the same exact name that your prospect.

But why? If I imported them from FHL and they were there, why are they not here?

How do I get them? Do I have to create these players?

STHS compares the names on the Prospect lists, with the players names on the Unassigned list. If STHS find the same name on both places, the player will be put into the right team.

Yes, I understand that.

Why are they not on the unassigned list though. That I do not understand.

And how do I get them on the unassigned list?

When you create a new league, you have to import (is that the word?) a database (CSV i think). All the players in the database will show up on the Unassigned list.

But if you have run the "Auto Activate Prospects" once, the player would probably not be on the Unassigned list (They will contain a team).

The players have to be somewere. Otherwise, I think the sim will give you an error message.

If you can not solve the problem... Start from scratch. I don't think you have made TOOOOOOOO much adjustments.... (=

Oh... My words in this post is not build on facts, just hypotethics. (not sure of the spelling of that word)

Solution #1:
1) Start Over
2) After you create your league, check how big is your unassigned list. It should contain all the players that exist in your Players CSV.

Solution #2:
Try the Update Stats function to add more Players to the Unassigned Player.

P.S. Make sure the spelling is the same between the player in the unassigned and in your prospect.
