STHS V2 Client : Version 2.1.6 error can't open

I tried to delete and redownload and reinstall it
but it doesn't work
when I try to open the file to make changes to my roster
I get a big error message that looks like this:

You latest save is corrupt. You need to open your latest backup.

is this the only possible error?
simmed preseason game 1 no problem with a few lines.... tried game 2 and cant load any . Even tried in just the Gm Client and same error

The files created by your commish can be corrupt. Ask him to redo the file.
